CO2 Amounts
See how the red line rises and falls? The red line represents the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The blue line represents the temperature. When the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere rises, so does the temperature. The first major six spikes on the chart are moderate temperature times. The low points on the chart are ice ages. So the difference of the top of a spike to the bottom of a dip is the difference of having the world covered in ice and having a nice sunny day. Look where we are now. Never before has the world had more than 300 parts per million of CO2. We are currently about 2 times higher than the highest parts per million. So if the low point is ice age, and high point is a sunny day...look at what it will be 50 years from now. Way higher than it has ever been in the history of the world. The world will be a sauna if the amounts continue to rise as they have.
